Ultracell Offers Patented Layered Nasal Pack

April 1st, 2005

Customizable thickness, ideal for any circumstance

North Stonington, CT—April, 2005—Ultracell Medical Technologies, a leading supplier of surgical sponge products, for the ENT surgical specialty, offers UltrapackTM, the unique layered nasal pack. Ultrapack’s thickness can be customized for each patient. Comprised of multiple layers, the surgeon may peel away one layer at a time (each layer is approximately 2.5 mm thick) while the pack is in a compressed state.

UltrapackTM is made of ultra-fine pore PVA, which minimizes tissue ingrowth. This makes the physician’s job easier and patients more comfortable. UltrapackTM is part of a full line of nasal, sinus, and epistaxis sponge products from Ultracell Medical Technologies.

Physicians State Appreciation for Unparallel Patient Comfort

New York, NY—October, 2004—Ultracell Medical Technologies, a leading supplier of surgical sponge products for otolaryngology, recently displayed at the AAO-HNSF Show in New York, with great success.

Physicians reaffirm Ultracell’s commitment quality with regard to Ultracell’s specially formulated PVA material. The ultra fine pore size minimizes adhesion and maximizes patient comfort.

Numerous physicians approached the Ultracell display stating their appreciation for Ultracell’s quality products, specifically citing unparallel patient comfort with both the UltraPackTM and the UltraPlusTM 5000.

The UltraPackTM is Ultracell’s patented layered nasal pack. The UltraPackTM allows for adjustment of packing thickness in a compressed state by peeling the layers away before insertion.

The UltraPlusTM 5000 is a self-contained nasal pack. The unique encasement provides a non-stick interface against tissue ingrowth. Pain and discomfort upon insertion and removal is virtually eliminated.
